Summary Description:

WebMD, the leading source for consumers and professionals looking for health and wellness information, is seeking talented and motivated individuals to join our Consumer/Customer Insights team to help support our Frontline and MDedge properties.

The ideal candidate is a market research enthusiast who can demonstrate an ability to translate data into meaningful stories and help bridge the gap between insight and action. This analyst will combine both quantitative and qualitative skills to provide key insights, metrics, and research that will help inform Frontline and MDedge sales and marketing strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, synthesize, and establish key insights and benchmarks on Frontline/MDedge properties to help understand user behavior and platform efficacy using internal and external data sources such as Kantar Professional Media.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to understand business questions and build a narrative around the power and impact of our properties as a platform for advertising.
  • Produce monthly/weekly reports with useful insights for sales and editorial.
  • Work with colleagues on Consumer/Customer Intelligence and Insights team to ensure best practices with data analysis and maintain consistency and reliability across reports.
  • Field questions and respond to data requests from sales, marketing and executive management.
  • Gather data on competitors to help sales and marketing understand the competitive landscape.
  • Support teams using syndicated data and proprietary tools to drive media targeting and budget allocations; ensure client advertising investment is optimized to drive results.
  • Partner with other insight teams (Market Research, Statistical Service and Web Analytics) to deliver comprehensive, integrated understanding and measurement solutions.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Up to 2 years of experience or internship with data analysis geared towards answering sales questions, preferably in a digital media or online advertising organization.
  • Strong quantitative research skills with proven ability to demonstrate data interpretation capabilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Basic knowledge regarding questionnaire development for custom surveys.
  • Some familiarity of syndicated sources such as comScore, MRI, Mars, SimilarWeb, etc.
  • Some familiarity with eMarketer, Globaldata.
  • Familiarity with digital media and/or print research is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to demonstrate empathy and commitment to the client.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel
