JOB SUMMARY
  • Responsible for delivery and pickup of containers to and/or from customer locations; maintaining excellent rapport with the customer
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive and operate a commercial truck with a patented lift mechanism for safe loading and unloading
  • Perform daily pre and post trip inspections of commercial vehicle
  • Accept add-on deliveries as needed
  • Use company handheld computer for delivery verification
  • Operate forklift and/or overhead crane
  • Clean and inspect containers for delivery
  • Coordinate rental paperwork and payment with customers
  • Communicate with Driver Lead or Market Manager
  • Perform repairs of containers and lifts
  • Provide backup for storage center functions
  • Maintain cleanliness of truck cab
  • Perform other assigned duties
MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reports to Management; Direct supervisor titles include Market Manager, Territory Manager

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education & Experience Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • CDL Class B License Required
  • Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software
  • Must have valid driver's license and meet qualification standards
  • At least 21 years of age
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to remain in stationary position for driving CMV or operating forklift
  • Ability to ascend/descend cab of truck and forklift using three points of contact
  • Ability to move about, operate equipment, deliver containers
  • Ability to occasionally move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Specific vision abilities required; ability to use hands for various tasks
  • Ability to apply pressure using various motions
  • Read documents, write neatly, communicate effectively
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Shift start times vary; Additional hours including weekends may be required
  • Travel within Location Territory
  • May work in non-climate controlled storage centers
  • Noise level may be loud at times; Regular attendance and punctuality required
  • Subject to background check and drug screenings
