Summary

This position is located in the Agricultural Research Service, Southeast Area, Invasive Plant Research Lab in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

In this position, you will assist scientists in all phases of the research process. The facility contains offices, labs, and containment spaces facilitating investigations of the ecology and biological control of invasive weeds.

This is a term, time-limited appointment with an initial duration of no less than 13 months and can be extended up to a total of 10 years.



Duties
  • Collects, prepares, evaluates, and verifies samples and supporting records.
  • Performs routine and recurring techniques and studies using a variety of specialized equipment.
  • Maintains, calibrates and modifies equipment and automated systems used for test and evaluation procedures.
  • Keeps detailed records of experimental data.
