Primary Job Functions
  • DISMANTLE, INSPECT AND REBUILD ALL TYPES OF HYDRAULIC COMPONENTS/EQUIPMENT.
  • OPERATE TEST STANDS TO TEST PUMPS, MOTORS, VALVES, CYLINDERS, LEGS, JACKS AND RAMS.
  • OPERATE DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY TEST EQUIPMENT.
  • PERFORM DETAILED INSPECTIONS USING METRIC AND STANDARD MICROMETER AND OTHER TOLERANCE TOOLING AND PREPARE INSPECTION DISASSEMBLY AND FINAL TEST/INSPECTION REPORTS.
  • OPERATE LAPPING MACHINE, DRILL PRESS, GRINDER, HONING MACHINE AND VARIOUS HAND TOOLS TO PROCESS COMPONENT PARTS.
  • ENSURE THAT WRITTEN QUALITY CONTROL STANDARDS AND PROCEDURES ARE STRICTLY ADHERED TO.
  • ORDER PARTS AS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE ORDER. RETURN PARTS TO STOCK AFTER JOB COMPLETION.
  • FOLLOW ESTABLISHED SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROCEDURES. ENSURE ALL WORK AREAS ARE CLEAN AND ORDERLY.
Preferences
  • EXPERIENCE WITH ALL TYPES OF UNDERGROUND MINING COMPONENTS/EQUIPMENT.
  • BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS.
  • ASSOCIATES OR EQUIVALENT TECHNICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE IN HYDRAULIC THEORY.
  • FAMILIARITY WITH ISO QUALITY MODEL.
Qualifications/Requirements

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

  • 3 YEARS GENERAL HYDRAULIC REPAIRS, ALL TYPES OF HYDRAULIC COMPONENTS.
  • READ, UNDERSTAND AND ASSEMBLE FROM FACTORY BLUEPRINTS, DRAWINGS AND DIAGRAMS.
  • EFFICIENT WITH STANDARD AND METRIC MICROMETERS, DIAL GAUGES, VENEERS, INDICATORS, SMALL HAND TOOLS.
  • CERTIFIED OPERATOR, POWERED FORK TRUCKS.
  • TRAINED OPERATOR, OVERHEAD CRANES.
  • PRACTICAL AND EFFICIENT TROUBLESHOOTING SKILLS.
