POSITION SUMMARY

Provides technical assistance for users in the organization. Responds to inquiries, evaluates, and resolves issues relating to IT equipment and applications. Responsible for technical support of hardware, operating systems, applications, and networks

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for fielding incoming support requests to ensure courteous, timely, and effective resolution of customer issues and building rapport and eliciting problem details from customers.
Performs analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex technology issues, and recommends and implements corrective solutions and identifies continuous improvement opportunities.
Responsible for recording, tracking, and documenting requests, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
Use independent judgment to determine which issues need to be escalated.
Provide on-site support for multiple locations.
Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.
Reinforce SLAs to manage customer expectations.

RELATIONSHIPS/CONTACTS

Reports to the Manager IT and interfaces as needed with all departments and colleagues of all levels.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Associates Degree (information systems or computer science) or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in the IT field
A+ Certification desired.
High level of integrity required due to the sensitive nature of responsibilities.
Strong understanding of the value of excellent customer service and service delivery.
Excellent organizational, analytical, team building, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office software.
Ability to read and write in English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Duties include but are not limited to remaining in a stationary position, move about inside an office environment, manoeuvre around/under office furniture, operate a computer, printer, and phone. Able to position self to install IT equipment, able to communicate information so others can understand and exchange accurate information in these situations, able to observe details at close range, and have an ability to travel to manufacturing locations. When visiting plant site locations, employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, or hazardous materials.
