Fairfield Inn & TownePlace Suites by Marriott Altoona is part of the Plamondon Hospitality Partners portfolio and wants to add dedicated individuals to our team. Join us as a Hotel General Cleaning and Preventative Maintenance (GCPM) Technician and become a crucial part of our success by providing essential support in general cleaning and preventative maintenance of our hotel property. This role is essential in ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of our guest rooms and common areas. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of performing basic repairs on hotel equipment.

Availability: Varies but typically runs from 12 PM to 8 PM throughout the week and 9 AM to 5 PM on weekends. Weekend availability is required. Times may vary based on property needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough cleaning and preventative maintenance in guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house.
  • Conduct regular inspections and identify areas needing attention or repair.
  • Carry out basic repairs on hotel equipment, including HVAC units, plumbing, and lighting fixtures.
  • Assist with general upkeep tasks such as painting, caulking, and minor carpentry.
  • Respond promptly to guest and management requests for maintenance services.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any major issues to the management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
  • Conduct daily property walk-through inspections to identify and address any areas requiring immediate attention, ensuring guest satisfaction and safety.
  • Provide maintenance inventory updates to engineering management as requested or required.
  • Ensure compliance with county health department regulations regarding pool operations.
  • Perform physical tasks including sitting, bending, climbing, standing, reaching, and walking for up to 90% of the workday, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 60 lbs.
