Job Description

Production Management:Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production schedules.Ensure compliance with USDA regulations and company quality standards.Monitor and adjust production processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.Quality Assurance:Maintain high standards of product quality and safety.Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with USDA and internal standards.Implement corrective actions to address any deviations or non-compliances.Team Leadership:Lead, train, and mentor a team of production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.Ensure proper staffing levels to meet production demands.Safety and Compliance:Promote and enforce a safe working environment by adhering to all safety policies and procedures.Conduct regular safety training and emergency preparedness drills.Ensure all staff are knowledgeable about and comply with USDA regulations and company policies.Resource Management:Manage inventory of raw materials and finished products.Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials.Optimize resource utilization to control costs and maximize efficiency.Communication and Coordination:Collaborate with other departments such as Quality Control, Maintenance, and Logistics to ensure smooth operations.Prepare and present reports on production metrics, performance, and issues.Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and goal achievement.
