Job Description

Supervise patients in the day-to-day activities of the fitness program. Responsible for the overall operation, management and quality of the gym and gym equipment.

Responsibilities

Educate patients about useful and safe exercises
Assist patients in achieving exercise goals.
Assure that patients leave fitness time feeling refreshed and in a positive state of mind.
Possess the ability to follow directions.
Submit all work in accordance with deadlines and proper procedure.
Adhere and enforce company policies and procedures.
Attend instructor trainings and meetings as required.
Store and care for all equipment neatly and appropriately, as directed.
Report broken equipment and maintenance needs.
Start and finish sessions on time, as scheduled.
Complete Incident Reports for injuries and/or accidents.
Educates patients on safe exercise techniques and guidelines.
Instruct session to the ability of the patient participating.
Work with patients to achieve exercise goals.
Maintain a professional attitude toward responsibilities, fellow staff members, and patients.
Project a professional and healthy image through dress, behavior and attitude.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Bachelor's degree in physical therapy, Recreational Therapy or other related field is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a medical fitness setting is required.
Prior experience with chemical dependency, eating disorders, trauma and pain.
Minimum of 3 years of sobriety is required.
