Overview

SOSi is currently seeking an experienced Engineering Lead/Senior Architect to join our team in Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Honolulu, Hawaii . The customer based out of Honolulu, Hawaii creates, manages, and supports IT solutions for USINDOPACOM, its mission and its 5,000+ customers throughout the Pacific theater. Our team solves challenging technical problems that enable USINDOPACOM to realize critical and time sensitive C2 strategies.

Essential Job Duties

As an Engineering Lead/Senior Architect at SOS International LLC, you will provide leadership and guidance to the IT Engineering Team, which consists of Subject Matter Experts (SME) of both Systems and Networks Engineering. Your role ensures projects/initiatives/tasks are properly scoped, planned, prioritized, resourced, executed, and documented. Oversees the transition of architecture/engineering efforts from Design and Implementation to Sustainment and Operation, in accordance with the Service Delivery Lifecyle. Functions as the Operations Person-In-Charge when both the MPE-ES Operations Manager and the Operations Deputy are unavailable or away.

  • Design, develop, deliver, integrate, and document, Enterprise IT Services and Architecture.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources required for IT engineering projects, initiatives and tasks.
  • Manage Engineering Team, tasks and responsibilities, to include engagements with internal and external parties (e.g., OEM, Vendors) where applicable.
  • Provides Tier-4 & 5 support to Enterprise Services and Architecture issues.
  • Act as a point of incident escalation and coverage. Manages proper communication, correction and response internal to the Engineering Team and Cross-Organizational with other Teams and Branches.
  • Evaluate new services, technologies, software, tools, and devices that may improve Enterprise capabilities for automation and orchestration.
  • Perform supervisory and administrative oversight of managed personnel. Provide recruiting, onboarding, direction/guidance, training, and assessment of Engineers, and mentorship for administrators and technicians where applicable.
  • Assess current work processes and workflows, propose recommendations for improvement and efficiencies.
  • Validate in place SOPs and TTPs against Subject Matter Expertise of relevant technologies
  • Design and Deliver solutions for customer requirements to include List of Materials (LOM), proposals and related supporting documents (e.g., solution diagrams, implementation timelines, etc.)
  • Regularly collect and summarizes pertinent IT Engineering accomplishments, issues and concerns
  • Acknowledge, categorize, and validate Request for Information (RFI's) for Enterprise Management and Government customer(s)
  • Ensures compliance of custody and ownership of Government equipment and related components.
  • Participates in and provides feedback to IT-relevant special projects, as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • An Active in-scope TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Prior supervisory experience. Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Able to effectively lead a team within a distributed organizational environment.
  • DoD 8570 IAT-III compliant (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH)
  • Relevant IT Certification (e.g., Cisco, Citrix, Dell, Forcepoint, HP, HPE, ITIL, Microsoft, Nutanix, Palo Alto, VMware)
  • Bachelors degree in IT Architecture, or similar or 10+ years of experience in Enterprise IT Engineering and Operations involving complex classified DoD environments and mandatory security controls (e.g., STIGs) including 5+ years in analysis, design and delivery of complex IT infrastructures.
  • Advanced knowledge in delivery and support to classified VDI/virtual environment platforms (e.g., Citrix, VMware, Azure Cloud/Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV) including thin-clients and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI).
  • Advanced knowledge in IT security mechanics (e.g., Zero-trust, authentication protocols: MFA/hardware tokens, AD/ADFS, certificates and encryption, auditing, and logging)
  • Experienced with implementing/supporting network-related services including DNS, DHCP and Unified Communications (UC) (e.g., Cisco VoIP, Call Manager, dVTC).
  • Extended knowledge of modern operating systems (e.g., MS Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux) and associated secure-access configurations.
  • Prior experience with NSA CSfC requirements including Multi-Site Connectivity Capability Package (MSCCP) and Mobile Access Capability Package (MACP).
  • Prior experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and/or DISA Trusted Network Environment (TNE)
  • Customer-service oriented with a willingness to participate and assist.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in IT solutions implementation, administration, troubleshooting and support.
  • Able to support 24/7 operations (including support to exercises), when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in IT Architecture, or similar
  • Additional IT certifications in relevant technology platform (e.g., Cisco, Citrix, Dell, HPE/Aruba, ITIL, Juniper, Microsoft, Nutanix, Palo Alto, VMware)
  • Advanced understanding and delivery on storage components (e.g., NAS/SAN storage), data availability (e.g., high availability/clustering, MS DFS-R) and archiving.
  • Familiarity with installation and support to Microsoft back-end services in a distributed data center environment (e.g., SQL Server, Exchange Server, SharePoint).
  • Extended knowledge of networking (switching and routing protocols, installation, and configuration)
  • Prior experience using Cisco, Brocade, HPE/Aruba and Palo Alto network solutions.
  • Well-versed in Department of Defense (DoD) protocols, procedures, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with C2 applications and program support.
  • Experience in ITIL framework and best practices (e.g., Change Management, Configuration Management, Capacity Planning)
  • Prior Help Desk/software experience (e.g., Jira, Remedy, ServiceNow).
