SAIC is seeking a motivated and dedicated Program Control Principal to support multiple programs within the National Intelligence Business Area of SAIC's Space & Intelligence Business Group.

This position can be worked remotely 100% nationwide (preferred location would be the DC/Metro area, or Augusta, GA).

Typical Responsibilities:

Interface with program managers, SAIC's finance, accounting, contracts, subcontracts, and procurement organizations as well as external customers on a daily basis to address operational issues in a timely and effective mannerResponsible for preparation of financial deliverables and internal/external reports to include Annual Operating Plan (AOP), quarterly forecasts, monthly latest revised estimates (LREs), and Estimates At Complete (EACs)Prepare and distribute financial information and analysis within required deadlines and ensure that the information provided is concise, relevant, and understandable to assist program management and operation leadership in making intelligent business decisionsSubmit and maintain purchase requisitions for subcontractors, consultants, and materials; monitoring subcontractor's cost and review/approval of invoicesAssist with future proposal development and contract negotiation activities utilizing sound business judgment.Support cash flow improvement initiatives by maintaining detailed, complex invoice backup reports that drive customer invoice approvalsDevelopment of budgets (spend plans) for assigned programs and perform financial analysis on funding profiles and program financial variancesConducts cost, schedule, and contract performance variance analysisSupport other programmatic ad hoc requests, as needed

Qualifications

Required Education & Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a related discipline with ten (10) years or more of relevant experience in Federal government contractingExperience in providing financial tracking and support for the government customer in areas of Program Control, Finance, Cost Estimating, Financial Analysis, or AccountingActive Security Clearance (TS/SCI w/Poly)Demonstrate the ability to process and analyze large volumes of data in Excel and consolidate into management level reportsProven experience across project planning and control and variance analysis with a background in Federal procurement. Experience in financial planning and analysis. Candidate should be familiar with multiple program types (CPAF, CPFF, LOE, FPLOE, FFP, T&M, IDIQs, etc.) with varying degree of complexities.Knowledge of general and corporate business practices, government contracting regulations and principles, and accounting and finance principlesComplete understanding of financial analysis such as return on sales (ROS), return on cost (ROC), annual operating plans, accounts receivable, and revenue & profit forecasts, as well as an understanding of the preparation of program baseline data, EAC development, and cost estimating/pricingCan make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, accounting principlesWell versed in the entire life cycle of a program from proposal development through contract close outStrong organizational and written/verbal communication skillsProficient in MS Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with advanced Excel skillsetAbility to prioritize and work with minimal supervision, be persistent in follow-through, and perform effectively within deadlinesAbility to balance long-term thinking with short-term executionMust be able to multi-task and support program with efficiency and accuracy

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with the Maryland Procurement Office and other requirements and deliverables such as the Contract Data Report (CDR).Security clearance (preferred TS/SCI with CI Poly)Strong knowledge of Excel & CostpointPower BI experience SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
