Special Education Teacher

Grand River Academy is an all-boys, college preparatory, boarding and day school located in Austinburg, Ohio. The school serves young men in grades 9-PG from all over the world. Grand River's main focus is to help young men discover the ability to activate and unlock their full potential. With a caring environment, students find success and go on to college.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Special Education Teacher. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for teaching students with disabilities in the middle and high school. They will provide individualized instruction, develop lesson plans, communicate with parents and colleagues, and create a supportive learning environment.

• Experience in teaching students with disabilities
• Knowledge of special education practices and techniques
• Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
• Experience or familiarity with middle and high school education
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
