Manufacturing takes raw materials and transforms them into the products we sell to customers. Products are packaged in a variety of formats for sale to grocery, clubs, and food service.
WHAT WILL I DO?
As a Manufacturing and Engineering Associate (MEA) Intern, you will experience a robust 10-week internship with hopes that you'll roll into our full time MEA development program upon graduation. The internship is designed to prepare you for both technical and managerial leadership roles within General Mills. During your internship you will:
- Building your capability through exposure and ownership of processing, packaging and broad manufacturing systems.
- Front line exposure to 24/7 production to leverage problem solving and learning agility while driving improvements and eliminating losses.
- Learning from and Leading Operators, Technicians and Mechanics to grow your coaching, team building and people-development skill set.
- Managing programs to gain experiences of capital project ownership, new system startups and / or initiative leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Engineering degree in: Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Food Process or Biological/Biosystems/Agricultural, or related degree
- Qualifications for MEA Milling roles are: Bachelor or Master's degree in Milling Science, Food Science, or related degree
- Graduating in Winter 2025 or Spring 2026
- Strong academic record
- Strong interpersonal skills, high learning agility, analytical and decision-making skills
- Exemplary people, technical, and process leadership ready to take initiative and add value to their team

The hourly rate for this position is $28.85. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences and skills for their role. The pay for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decision including, but not limited to, educational degree in process, major of study and year in school.
