Job Description

Pay Rate: $30 / hour

Shift Differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate shift differential paid for applicable hours worked

Schedule: Monday- Friday 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

Sign on Bonus: $5000 ($2.5K after 90 days of employment and $2.5K after 180 days of employment)

The Fleet Technician's primary purpose will require the individual to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment including gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air brakes, forklifts, tankers and trailers.

Key responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair fleet vehicles and equipment
  • Program and record assigned preventative maintenance tasks
  • Assist in education of the Route Sales Representatives' pre and post-trip inspections
  • Receive and process invoices for payment
  • Act as vendor billing point of contact
  • Maintain parts inventory and budget
  • Maintain work area ensuring organization and cleanliness
  • Ensure safe work practices
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum three years hands-on experience in commercial fleet repair (gas, diesel or propane accepted)
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to handle physical requirements, including, but not limited to, repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting up to 60 pounds in all work conditions (indoor and outdoor)
  • A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • The ability to obtain CDL B license (with airbrake endorsement) within specified period of time
  • Ability to obtain ASE T4 (airbrake) certification within specified period of time
  • The ability to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Cummins, Ford, or other engine manufacturer Diagnostic Tool proficiency
  • Must possess personal tools
  • Positive team-player attitude
  • Possesses exceptional work ethic, energy, and drive
