Danbury Hospital, of Nuvance Health, has an excellent opportunity for a Rheumatologist in our Danbury/New Milford, Connecticut practice locations. Located about 60 minutes outside of New York City in Fairfield/Litchfield Counties, this is an excellent opportunity to join our growing Rheumatology team. Currently 5 Rheumatologists and 2 Advanced Practitioners practice in our Danbury and New Milford office locations. Full-time or part-time schedule available. There is flexibility in scheduling office hours. New and recent graduates welcome to apply, including 2025 graduates. Generous sign-on bonus and relocation allowance provided. Potential loan forgiveness to eligible candidates.

The ideal candidate will be board certified in Internal Medicine and board certified/eligible in Rheumatology and looking to join a dedicated and collegial team working to meet the needs of our large primary care referral base. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package, and allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses. There is also opportunity for academic affiliation, with optional university faculty appointment as well as teaching and research if interested.

Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. As teaching hospitals, we are affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our Medical Group includes 1,000+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.
