Job Summary:

The City of Danbury Connecticut is seeking a highly skilled English Language Learning Specialist to lead the coordination of language learning services at the Danbury Library. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement language learning programs and services to meet the needs of diverse community members.
• Collaborate with library staff, community organizations, and local businesses to promote language learning opportunities.
• Provide guidance and support to library patrons seeking language learning resources and services.
• Stay up-to-date with best practices in language learning and adult education to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
• Contribute to the development of library policies and procedures related to language learning services.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Library Science or a related field.
• Experience in language learning, adult education, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in English and a second language (preferably Spanish).
