PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION
The Rail Grinder is responsible to grind, fit and all track work related
products according to the print and specifications.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBLITIES :
* Able to operate grinder and power tools
* Able to finish grind, weld, fit, and assemble steel, iron, and
manganese track work related products as specified
* Safely operate jib and overhead cranes
* Proficiently grind all transition rail built at plant
* Read and follow the production schedule
* Routine clean up work area
* Able to work with little supervision
* Adhere to Nortrak s Safety, Quality and Environmental Procedures,
Practices and Policies
* Perform other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Prolonged periods of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling,
crouching or climbing.
* Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with
hands and arms.
* Regularly lift and move up to 10-15 pounds, frequently lift and move up to
50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 70 pounds.
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,
distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and
ability to adjust focus.
* Hearing abilities related to job assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (e.g. education, experience, skills and desired
competencies):
* High School graduate or GED preferred
* Welding, Forklift and Crane certification preferred
* Ability to read work orders, ITP s, blue prints, rulers and tape measures
* Basic mathematical calculation experience in adding and subtracting whole
numbers, fractions and decimals

WORKING LOCATION:
* Pueblo, Colorado

SALARY:

  • $21.07/hr - $22.69/hr
