Under the direction of the Beverage Supervisor, the Beverage Service Lead serves as a support to the Beverage leadership team. Assist with Beverage department responsibilities while adhering to the Yaamava' Brand Service Standards. This role enforces the responsible sale and service of alcoholic beverages, including implementing identification policies and alerting management of any problems with guest intoxication. This position monitors product accuracy; maintaining proper inventory throughout their shift as well as ensuring compliance with F&B and Yaamava policies and procedures. Serves as an extension of leadership, the Beverage Service Lead ensures an optimal customer experience by maintaining a highly energized culture, and an engaged and enthusiastic work environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Ensures all aspects of the F&B guest experience, department programs, and policies. Serves as an extension to leadership, assists management and team as needed to ensure Yaamava' Brand Service Standards and smooth daily operations. Responsible for creating a memorable guest experience by providing exceptional service to every patron; interacts and engages up to Yaamava' Brand Standards.

2. Coordinates the needs of the guest to the team, kitchen staff, and other departments while escalating any guest or team members' concerns to leadership. Assists with communicating and administering new training material to current team members as well as assisting with the training of new team members.

3. Ensures and audits all aspects of the bar experience to include: Yaamava' Brand Service Standards, quality beverage presentation, bar/service bar cleanliness, and an engaging audio/visual experience. Ensures materials, equipment, and facilities needed for the Area of Responsibility (AOR).

4. Ensures assignment of team member tasks while monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness of the venue or casino floor. Assists and confirms all appropriate side work duties are being performed during operations as necessary. Maintains stock and inventory in all areas and aids with ordering supplies.

5. Mentors and develops team members in beverage preparation and responsible beverage service. Ensures pour testing and recipe adherence of all bar staff.

6. Ensures all beverage orders are served efficiently and in accordance with Yaamava' Brand Service Standards and Health department regulations. Responsible for auditing cash register transactions to verify proper documentation of comps, voids, and discounts. Responsible for completing shift reports and resets.

7. Assist with creating and administering daily floor plans and sections to maximum efficiency. Identifies, recommends, develops, and implements new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost savings.

8. Conduct inventories of beer, wine, cigarettes, cigars, and specific non-alcoholic beverages.

9. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

Education/Experience/Qualifications High School Diploma or GED is required.
A minimum of two (2) years of food and beverage experience is required.
A minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience is preferred.
Previous leadership training/experience is preferred.
Must be able to read, write and speak in the English language.
Must have a demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Ability to prioritize job duties and manage time effectively and works well with a team.
Must present themselves professionally with an approachable and always accommodating demeanor to both guests and team members.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
Must obtain and maintain a current Food Handler's card.
Must obtain and maintain a Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification.
