As a Grain Elevator Laborer, you will be part of a team that works hands on to support the safe, efficient operations of a grain handling facility.

Responsibilities:
\r

\r
\r
\tMaintain a clean work environment, shoveling grain spills, sweeping floors, brushing down equipment, machinery, and work stations using brooms, shovels, vacuum, and hand tools\r
\tFacilitate the moving, coupling, and unloading of rail cars in a safe and orderly manner\r
\tPosition gates or spouts to direct flow of grain from conveyors to storage silos\r
\tControl flow of grain by opening gates, chutes, or hoppers\r
\tOperate power tools including electrical/cordless/pneumatic devices\r
\tPerform other duties as required\r
\r
\r
\r
\r

Qualifications:
\r

\r
\r
\tAbility to work on your own without direct supervision\r
\tMust be capable of lifting and stacking up to 50lbs unassisted\r
\tSafely perform duties on ladders, platforms, or scaffolding\r
\tAble to work in a processing/milling environment and adverse conditions (heights, exposure to dust, noise, and working with heights; limited exposure to chemicals and pesticides\r
\tCompletion of safety courses such as confined spaces\r
\r
\r
\r
\r
