Responsibilities

The PSG Engineering Lead position involves implementing and managing various manufacturing platforms in both domestic and international settings. As a team leader, you will oversee projects related to equipment, facilities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities include:

  • Efficiently coordinating and scheduling team members for equipment and facility projects.
  • Providing leadership support for equipment installations.
  • Participating in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Continuous Improvement Kaizen events.
  • Assisting in emergency troubleshooting to minimize production downtime.
  • Leading the sourcing and installation of critical plant support equipment.
  • Collaborating with plant teams on predictive maintenance and field rebuild projects.
  • Defining and executing plant support initiatives to meet internal stakeholders' needs.

Job Skills:

  • Experience in plastic extrusion or injection molding processes.
  • Familiarity with lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
  • Excellent project management capabilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Capability to work independently and in team settings.
  • Analytical skills to assess risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Supervisory skills to guide and monitor engineers towards achieving organizational objectives.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred.
  • Alternatively, 2-4 years of experience with an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plastics will be considered.
  • Equivalent practical experience may also suffice.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

  • Proficiency in English and Spanish languages.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Adherence to safety protocols in plant settings.
  • Ability to work under varying climate conditions.
  • Physical stamina to engage in labor-intensive tasks for extended periods.
  • Flexibility for diverse body movements and operations around industrial equipment.
  • Readiness to be mobile and stand for extended shifts.
