This position is located in the Division of Gas - Environment and Engineering, Office of Energy Projects.

As a Geologist, some of your typical work assignments may include:


Analyzing geologic hazards and geologic impact-related issues, as well as hydrogeologic related impact associated with constructing and operating natural gas pipelines, natural gas compressor stations, and gas storage facilities.

Analyzing applications and environmental reports filed with the Commission, determining the adequacy of the data supplied, identifying data deficiencies, and assisting project teams with developing additional resource-related environmental information.

Assisting members of multidisciplinary teams assigned to prepare geology, groundwater, and soil sections on staff NEPA documents and orders.

Coordinating, moderating, and making presentations at public scoping meetings, comment meetings, federal/state/local government meetings, meetings with interested stakeholder groups, and conferences.
