The Accessible Services Team Wheelchair Ambassador provides guests with a consistent, positive and friendly experience at Highmark Stadium. Team Members transport guests with accessible needs throughout concourses, club spaces and other associated areas of Highmark Stadium. The goal for this role is to provide a consistently safe, clean, comfortable and family friendly experience to all guests visiting Highmark Stadium.

*Note* This position involves physical activity that may become strenuous at times.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspect areas for safety hazards and report issues to Event Command center.
  • Escort guests with accessible needs utilizing stadium wheelchairs throughout Highmark Stadium during games and events.
  • Navigate stadium concourses, entry points, elevators, and ramps safely.
  • Utilize 24/7 Communicator Software to coordinate and track guest transportation requests.
  • Greet all guests as they arrive, welcoming them to Highmark Stadium.
  • Provide accurate, detailed directions to and from stadium locations such as seating areas, restrooms, and concession areas by utilizing provided resources.
  • Promote Guest Experience programs and initiatives.
  • Proactively monitor areas throughout the stadium campus to ensure guest safety and enjoyment of the event.
  • Recognize and resolve customer concerns and situations effectively in conjunction with Stadium Security and Guest Experience Supervisors.
  • Thank all guests for attending as they are leaving.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to be outdoors in all weather conditions for 6 hours or more.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Personable, engaging, outgoing.
  • Quick learner: ability to adapt to different situations.
  • Team Player - works well with others.
  • Attend mandatory in-person and online training classes, all Buffalo Bills home games and additional events as required.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress environment.
  • Ability to walk long distances, climb stairs, and stand for 6 hours or more.
  • Ability to meet physical qualifications, pushing and pulling up to 300 pounds, lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from Highmark Stadium.
  • Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays when required.
  • All applicants musts be 18 years of age or older and successfully pass a background check.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Prior customer service experience
  • Ability to understand and utilize technology, including, but not limited to iPads, iPhones, Ticket Scanners, Laptops & Radios

The starting rate is $17.00/hour
