We are seeking a consultative sales executive with deep technical expertise, a problem-solver who can support growth in our industry focused solution sales efforts, primarily concentrating on the Telecom Engineering and IoT Services sectors within Cognizant Digital Business and Technology. The role will serve our portfolio of clients in multiple industries across Communications (MNOs & MSOs) and other Telco customers.

We are looking for a key leader with experience in Communications Engineering, 5G / IOT and experience selling Device Engineering, Network Modernization and IoT services.

You should have some consulting experience, market leadership, relationship management, sales quota achievement, and excellence in achieving both annual revenue and margin targets.

You will handle a portfolio of IoT programs and project delivery, establish and run governance with client collaborators, and run financial and demand forecasts across the Connected Products portfolio. You will also drive continuous improvements resulting in client value benefits, as well as a continuous proficiency uplift resulting in productivity and efficiency gains. This is a true P&L role – responsible for both top line & bottom-line growth.

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Crafting sales strategy and plan for pipeline generation.
  • Responsible for Sales, Business Development & Customer Relationship activities for the Communications Vertical.
  • Key collaborator management.
  • Management of the account plan, investing time in strengthening existing client relationships and strategic new clients.
  • Proactive proposals and RFP in line to account strategy
  • Partners with internal leaders for solution creation and execution.
  • Achieve annual revenue & profitability targets.
  • Work in a matrix organization, responsible for prospecting and other sales management goals.
  • Collaboration with Vertical teams, develop strong, long-term relationships with executives.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process.
  • Demand fulfillment, collaborating with HR / Ops, Offshore Teams

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field
  • A minimum of 14 years of experience with at least 10 years in a Business / Sales role in Product Engineering, industrial automation, or manufacturing across multiple industries
  • Experience with large scale consulting engagements
  • Ability to appreciate and work on 360-degree aspects around a Product development life cycle for Network Engineering, Devices, Wireless / Wireline, Data Communications.
  • Deep engineering skills with ability to find technical solutions to business problems and engage the potential customer with "consultative selling" is critical.
  • Experience selling Engineering Services
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and executive presentation and persuasion skills are required.
  • Ability to interface at all levels of an organization.
  • Consultative selling experience.

· Knowledge of industry trends, customer growth strategies, potential opportunities in various Technologies like OSS\BSS, Edge intelligence, Device Engineering, SDN, IoT, Docsis 3.1, 5G, PLM, Mesh Networking, WiFi, Technology migrations is a must.

  • MBA or Master's degree from an accredited college and or university.
