Job Description

We are currently looking for a VP, IT Business Operations & Strategy to join our growing team In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the achievement of IT and enterprise-wide business objectives by serving as a strategic advisor to the CIO and the IT organization. You will facilitate collaboration within IT and particularly with business leaders, and oversee strategic and financial planning, portfolio and program management, sourcing and vendor management, workforce planning, and organizational change management and communications in partnership with the human resources and communications departments. Reporting directly to the CIO, you will be responsible for the alignment between business objectives and IT investments while driving operational excellence and project delivery.

As VP, IT Business Operations and Strategy, your duties and responsibilities will include:

Strategic Planning and Execution

Collaborate with the CIO to develop and execute IT strategies that support organizational goals and priorities
Drive the prioritization, selection and execution of strategic projects and initiatives, overseeing progress and ensuring timely delivery

Technical/Operational
Oversee financial management processes, including budgeting, forecasting, planning and variance review activities
Lead the development and implementation of portfolio management frameworks, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and resource optimization.
Drive execution of vendor management strategy, including processes for assessing, selecting and managing vendor relationships and overall contract management
Drive execution of ongoing organizational change management activities to support continuing transformational initiatives
Foster collaboration and communication across IT teams to ensure alignment and efficiency
Review, design, and execute improvements to organizational structure; find knowledge and skills gaps and help address them
Improve current processes and optimize organizational procedures for efficiency and productivity
Streamline operational processes and workflows to optimize resource utilization and enhance productivity
Develop and implements performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of IT operations.

Team Leadership
Provide direct oversight of Portfolio and Budget Management and Program Management teams
Develop and communicate organizational objectives; inspire and motivate team members to achieve results
Build organizational talent by creating a learning environment that ensures employees realize their potential

Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, department heads, project sponsors, and vendors
Serve as a primary point of contact for escalated issues and inquiries related to portfolio management, budgeting, and project delivery
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities, and ensures that IT investments and initiatives are aligned with business objectives

Qualifications:
Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Business Administration or related field
Extensive experience in IT leadership roles, with a focus on portfolio management, budget management and project management
Ability to demonstrate significant depth and breadth of leadership expertise to establish strategic direction and develop relationships
Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
Experience developing and implementing processes and controls for budgeting, monitoring and forecasting financial and economic aspects of organizations/operations
Ability to establish connections between technology investments and business revenue improvement or cost reduction/productivity enhancement
Experience in executing a vendor management strategy, and evaluating and monitoring internal and external service providers, contractors or consultants
Demonstrate understanding in developing, implementing and monitoring talent management strategies and initiatives that address critical organizational needs
Strong understanding of the principles of change management and associated activities to engage stakeholders and mitigate risk during times of change
Knowledge of and experience with monitoring, measuring, benchmarking and optimizing IT performance
Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to establish strong partnerships and deliver exceptional value
Excellent understanding of how people, teams and global organizations work
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and exceptional leadership and analytical skills e ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
