Your Role

The Engineering Intern is a member of our Logistics Engineering Services team and contributes to various equipment or process improvement projects in our distribution centers.

The Intern performs supporting work for larger initiatives being managed by the Engineering team.

Common areas of work include:

applied industrial engineering principles, engineered labor standards support, developing data queries / collecting data and analysis to gain insight, space planning, process improvement, and material handling equipment support.

Your Impact
Utilize core industrial engineering principles including ergonomics, time studies, data analytics, process mapping, lean methodologies, etc. in support of broader Engineering initiatives.
Conceptual design of new processes, including estimates of labor standards, productivity, layout and capacity. Creating process flow charts and supporting SOPs.
Partner with logistics operations and maintenance teams to Investigate and recommend methods improvement, cost reductions, and capacity enhancement options.
Assist in material handling equipment design, procurement, and installation with oversight from senior members of engineering team.
Create status updates, clearly communicate results, and recommended next steps to internal business partners.

Minimum Salary :
$23.00

VS&Co provides an estimated range of compensation for this role as shown.

Your actual compensation will be determined by a number of relevant factors, including but not limited to your specific skills, experience, & geographic location.

Qualifications
Your Experience
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering or other related engineering discipline
Experience conducting time studies
Understanding and using work measurement methodologies
Great attention to detail and has strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel)
Ability to work on multiple projects and priorities
