The Human Resources Director will oversee the talent management initiatives, employee relations matters, employee development, staffing and retention programs, and all HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state and Company standards for the Region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- HR Director for Amrep division
- Drive strategy and collaborate across teams to deliver results by providing expertise, guidance, and execution in the areas of talent acquisition, performance, career development, succession planning, compensation, employee relations, and employee retention and engagement
- Mitigate risk to the organization by assisting with employee relations including disciplinary action, complaints, and conflict resolution.
- Assist with investigations and documentation in accordance with company policies and best practices.
- Leads all talent recruitment
- Strategic partner for the division President
- Execute performance management programs and procedures, including but not limited to performance appraisals and performance improvement plans.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal employment regulations and company policies.
- Advise, counsel, and update managers, supervisors, and employees on company policies, practices, procedures, benefits, and wages
- Lead and participate in HR projects as needed, including cross functional and business initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field required
- 5 or more years in an Human Resources or Senior Business Partner role
- Demonstrated experience in coaching, employee relations, change management, and performance management
- Ability to manage a broad range of tasks and build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally
- Strong influence and change management skills
- Ability to counsel and coach at all levels
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate pragmatic, win-win solutions
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making.
- Proactive and results-oriented
- Ability to manage competing priorities, delivering quality work in a timely manner
- Up to 25% travel
