Shift: days, evenings, nights, variable shift (3 x 12 hrs)
Work Location: UHealth Tower – University Miami Hospital - Nursing Support Services
This position is on-site, not remote.
1. Oversees daily department operations to achieve quality results, patient satisfaction, and organizational goals.
2. Supports the evaluation of on-the-job performance.
3. Maintains department metrics for unit and organizational goals.
4. Encourages quality improvement and system-thinking within the department and organization.
5. Collaborates with the leadership team to develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance quality of care and operational efficiency.
6. Assists in setting departmental goals that align with the organization's strategic plan.
7. Ensures compliance with departmental policies and standard procedures.
8. Manages staffing, training, and supervision of staff, including participation in evaluations.
9. Ensures availability of necessary supplies.
10. Monitors equipment usage and maintenance.
11. Communicates effectively with nursing staff and visits units as required.
12. Manages unit schedules.
13. Provides appropriate patient monitoring.
14. Addresses patient safety requirements with units.
15. Adheres to University and unit-level policies, procedures, and safeguards.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI
Core Remote Patient Attendant (U).
Certification and Licensing:
Valid State of Florida CNA license and certification in relevant field.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:
- Skillful completion of tasks with attention to detail.

- Clear oral and written communication.
- Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work effectively.
- Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
