Seattle, Washington, United States Amazon Full time

Are you ready for your next design challenge? The Learning Experience Design team is building workforce learning for the FUTURE – rethinking not only the content we produce, but the way content it is consumed. We are a team of Day 1 designers who work closely with content experts, technology and metrics to drive new ways of learning in the workplace for Data Centers around the world. If you are looking to lead the change in workforce learning, this may be the role you've been waiting for.

AWS Data Center Learning is responsible for providing training and career development based learning paths to all new and existing data center technicians world-wide. Our team is constantly looking to optimize the training experience and provide our field operations teams with the highest skilled workforce.

The Learning Experience Designer will ensure that we're aligned to the highest value learning opportunities to not only improve our learner experience, but to drive internal development processes as well. Responsibilities include working with cross-functional teams on process optimization and training content development that supports reduction in time-to-productivity and decrease in error rates for Data Center roles. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced, highly engaged environment, and has the ability to connect the dots organizationally, network effortlessly and influence various roles, levels and profiles to drive collaboration, as well as grow fellow designers and develop the best.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help.

You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Key job responsibilities

•Design, develop, and deploy training as part of a blended learning strategy

•Partner with cross-functional teams to build out development experiences with a global mindset

•Solve business problems with focus on understanding root causes and driving forward-looking opportunities

•Work with technical SMEs to design and create engaging end user training

•Manage multiple curricula development projects simultaneously

•Develop training materials that align to a blended training delivery strategy, including and not limited to: self-directed, instructor led (ILT), virtual (vILT), and hands-on practical training

•Measure impact and quickly revise content/modality to address specific feedback, as needed

•Create reliable and valid learner evaluation tools to gauge knowledge and skill transfer

•Drive use of evaluation and performance data to improve learning content

This position must be able to sit onsite a minimum of 3 days per week.
