Job Summary:

As a Merchandising Colleague, also referred to as a Front of House Colleague, the skills you acquire in Macy's products and services will enable you to deliver exceptional experiences for every customer you come across. Your duties will involve assisting in floor relocations, enhancing merchandise presentation, organizing and upkeeping product displays, and ensuring accurate pricing and signage.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Customer Service: Greet customers, address their queries, and offer assistance in a friendly and professional manner. Enhance knowledge of the store's products and promotions to effectively assist customers and provide accurate information. Ensure a positive shopping experience by resolving customer concerns promptly.
  • Sales Support: Aid customers in finding products, provide product recommendations, and share details about promotions or special deals. Select merchandise from the selling floor to fulfill online orders. Handle sales transactions, operate cash registers, process payments, and manage exchanges or returns.
  • Merchandise Organization: Sustain an orderly and visually appealing store by restocking products, arranging displays, cleaning fitting rooms, and keeping shelves well-stocked. Support markdown execution to boost sales of clearance items.
  • Update Pricing and Signage: Maintain accurate pricing and signage throughout the store for a seamless shopping experience. Regularly utilize technology to update product prices, promotions, and information in line with company guidelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to meet department goals and uphold a positive work environment. Effectively communicate with colleagues and supervisors, sharing feedback, ideas, and concerns.

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods (minimum two consecutive hours) of standing/walking around the store or department
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology, handheld electronic devices
  • Reaching, crouching, climbing, lifting items up to 50 lbs., and color vision
