Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to review waiver applications for the Developmental Disabilities Administration's (DDA) Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waivers in a timely fashion. HCBS Waivers provide community-based services as an alternative to receiving services in an institutional setting for those who met the institutional level of care. This position also assists with monitoring Medicaid eligibility for those enrolled in one of the three HCBS waivers administered by DDA.\r

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. \r
Experience: Two years of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources. \r
Notes: \r
1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university on a year-for-year basis for the required experience. \r
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.\r

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should possess the following:\r

Experience/knowledge of DDA Programs.\r
Experience/knowledge of Targeted Case Management.\r
Experience/knowledge with DDA QA programs.�\r
Experience/knowledge of Eligibility and Waiver Services System.\r
