Purpose of Position:

To boost the sales of Corning Optical Communications products in Northern California, driving business growth and ensuring company success. Collaborate on developing and executing a sales plan focused on delivering network solutions that leverage our capabilities.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of Sales and/or Marketing experience
  • Ability to collaborate effectively
  • Strong Solution Selling Capabilities, like Consultative Communication
  • Driven by results and motivated internally
  • Ability to identify and prioritize key customers
  • Proven success in time and territory management

  • Extensive knowledge of our products and solutions
  • Understanding of the value our solutions bring to customers
  • Highly competitive with a focus on teamwork
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong track record
  • Familiarity with telecommunications, fiber-optics, and distribution sales

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve or exceed sales targets for all assigned telecommunications products
  • Generate preference for Corning Optical Communications products through regular sales calls
  • Maintain a balance in sales calls across different customer segments
  • Efficiently manage contractor and consultant programs
  • Coordinate sales calls with distributors for maximum sales impact
  • Provide training to distributors on selling our product solutions
  • Submit timely reports using an assigned CRM system
  • Maintain a territory Opportunity Board for projects above $50K
  • Submit weekly and expense reports to the Regional Manager
  • Maintain proficiency in computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
  • 50% travel required
  • Must be located in Northern California or open to relocation
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
