Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibilities will include managing and processing rent payments and tracking outstanding accounts receivable for 20+ affordable housing multi-family communities.
  • Assist accounting team with month-end closing activities.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial packages for lenders and 3rd party investors.
  • Accurately update the general ledger.
  • Organize and maintain up-to-date financial records.
  • Assist with rent payments, inquiries, complaints, and feedback.
  • Provide any additional administrative support for accounting department as needed.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of real estate Accounts Receivable experience.
  • Strong understanding of Low-Income Housing and Section 8 Voucher Programs.
  • Strong knowledge of New Jersey Housing Authority policies and procedures is highly preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Accounts Receivables and general bookkeeping procedures.
  • Excellent data entry skill with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex legal documents.
  • Familiarity with MRI, Yardi, or other related real estate software is a plus.
