Job Summary and Qualifications
The HCA New Grad Nurse Residency is a year long residency which begins with a 10-12 week (depending on specialty), PAID Classroom/Preceptorship program. It allows new graduate nurses to obtain acute care nursing experience through an intensive internship program. Open positions will vary throughout the year, and positions will be offered based on needs of the hospital, but units that typically hire HCA Nurse Residency residents include:
Acute Rehab, Medical Telemetry, General Surgery/Surgical Robotics, Orthopedics, Surgical Oncology, Multi-Trauma Unit

Upon successful completion of the HCA New Grad Nurse Residency Program, residents will transition to their full-time roles at the hospital and continue professional development through routine interactions with a mentor (meet at least once a month)Requirements:
Current Colorado RN license or Multi-state Compact RN license (not required until 6-7)Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, within past 1 yearBasic Life Support certificationSelf-motivated and strong communication skills requiredAttendance is imperative throughout the HCA Nurse Residency Training programSwedish Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare's HealthONE family of hospitals, is located in the south metro Denver area where it has been a proud member of the community for more than 110 years.
