Position Specific Description

This position is part of the growing Renewable Fuels Team within NextEra Energy's Power Generation Division. The Lead Project Manager will manage a portfolio of large-to-medium scale technical projects supporting new construction and existing assets. This role will be based in Houston, Texas.

Preferred Qualifications
Working experience as a technical project manager on a variety of large-to-medium scale projects of high complexityStrong engineering background with a solid understanding of energy or chemical process development. Specific experience with Landfill Gas Treatment or Coal Mine Methane treatment is a plus.Experienced at interfacing with multi-disciplinary teams in executing assigned projects (i.e., Originations, Development, Permitting, HS&E, Business management, Operations, Construction, Commissioning and Operations)Exemplary presentation skillsConducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and KPI's.Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and subcontracting)Familiarity with power and gas industry standards and equipmentsResponsible for managing capital expenditure (CAPEX) and Operating Expenditure (OPEX) for any assigned facilities.Familiarity with Compliance Offset Protocols is a plus.

High School Grad / GEDBachelor's or Equivalent ExperienceExperience: 6+ years
