We are a dynamic construction company with a robust pipeline of projects, boasting 5 years of backlogged projects in the Los Angeles area. We are committed to quality craftsmanship and are looking for a dedicated Foreman Carpenter to join our team and grow with us. This role offers a clear path to progress into a Superintendent position for the right candidate.
Job Description:
As a Foreman Carpenter, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily carpentry operations on-site, ensuring all work meets our high standards. You will regularly check in with the Superintendent to update on the status of work and occasionally be hands-on with the carpentry tasks. This role also includes coordinating daily safety meetings for the crew and inspecting all work done by the carpentry contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily check-ins with the Superintendent to report on project status.
Hands-on carpentry work as needed.
Coordinate and lead daily safety meetings for the crew.
Inspect all work completed by carpentry contractors to ensure compliance with standards.
Ensure adherence to OSHA construction regulations and job site safety protocols.
Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Qualifications:
5-7 years of Lead Level Carpentry experience or 2-3 years of Foreman Level experience.
Comprehensive understanding of carpentry.
Proficient in reading blueprints.
Willingness to work nights and long hours.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Procore and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of construction methods and OSHA construction regulations.
Valid Driver's License and ability to pass a driving record check.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
