Job Description

We have an immediate opportunity for a ​Quality Technician ​to join our diverse team in Louisville, KY. The candidate would be responsible for complete inspection of pressed sheet metal plates. This employee may also train other inspectors in methods, techniques, and procedures. Inspections may include dye penetrant testing, dimensional measurement, calibration, containment, and visual inspections, and may include repair or rework of defective parts or assemblies

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Perform Dye Penetrant test on sheet metal plates.

Perform routine & non-routine inspections for troubleshooting of product and process problems

Use Calibrated Depth Check Gauges, Micrometers to verify material is within provided specification

Ensure production is working with correct parts & parameters

Ensure all scrapped parts are reported timely and correctly

Maintain traceability of material according to ASME requirements

Maintain Dye booth per OSHA requirements

Containment:

Perform containment activities that may include

100% sorting and inspection of parts

Isolate the non-conforming parts & mark them appropriately

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:

High School diploma or GED

Vocational and/or special inspection training or equivalent experience (preferred at least 5 years)

Preferred technical product exposure

Basic computer literate in Excel

Excellent communication skills

Must be able to schedule own work, make decisions, engage others, and perform tasks with minimal supervision.
