Role Description



Mission

The Sales Operations Manager role involves partnering with the Vice President of Sales to serve as a liaison between the Vice President and the Sales Team to support the growth of the Sales Team. The Sales Operations Manager will be responsible for getting accurate, real-time visibility of team performance, comparing individual performances within a sales team, better forecasting to help sales representatives achieve success, creating, communicating, and compensating understandable goals, and owning the CRM and other sales tools.



Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison to the Sales Team, other departments, clients, outside vendors, etc.
    • Assist with follow-up communication to ensure responsiveness.
    • Manage expedited sales requests and prioritization. This requires alignment with various internal teams.
    • Assist with price estimation creation and contract renewals.
    • Assist with Requests for Proposal, including updating literature and internal communication.
    • Organize a system for housing documents relevant to the sales process.
    • Work with the Marketing Team to ensure both teams are aligned.
    • Schedule Sales Team meetings, interdepartmental meetings, and meetings on behalf of the Vice President.
  • Work with the Sales Team to maintain and monitor processes for managing sales.
    • Responsible for managing the adherence to the sales deal process and sales order processing activities.
    • Follow defined processes and coach sales leaders to leverage the same in order to reach company-wide compliance.
  • Forecast to help sales representatives achieve success.
    • Manage forecast opportunities for pipeline and National Sales calls.
    • Track long-term sales data.
  • Complete the initial review of third parties.
  • Assist with the management, maintenance, and monitoring of the CRM.
  • Monitor various dashboards, stages, and time per step.
    • Develop and track metrics to measure the success of the Sales Team.
    • Develop insights into and track the productivity of the Sales Team.
    • Report anomalies to the Vice President of Sales.
  • Assist with the creation, communication, and maintenance of sales compensation plans.
    • Track Management by Objective goals for the Sales Team.
  • Assist with the delegation of leads to the Sales Team.
    • Manage audits to ensure there is alignment with Sage and Acumatica.
  • Develop and administer training for Sales Team members.
    • Help develop and administer onboarding plans for new Sales Team staff.
  • Provide feedback to the Vice President of Sales.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience

  • A four-year college degree is required.
  • Two or more years of experience within a sales organization in the Sales Operations Manager role or a similar role.
  • ERP experience is preferred. Experience with Sage, Acumatica, and Microsoft ERP solutions is a plus.
  • Extensive experience with CRM/database tools required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • The ability to balance a large group of diverse projects and people simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to work well with others.
  • Prior experience supporting multiple team members is required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Competent in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Advanced Outlook skills across multiple time zones required.
  • Business experience with Microsoft Teams meetings or other remote meeting applications (Zoom, Slack, WebEx, etc.) is required.
  • Ability to work remotely with limited supervision.
  • Strong sense of urgency and responsibility.


Physical Demands

Constantly requires sitting or standing at the workstation, vision, hearing, talking, and fine dexterity. Occasionally requires walking, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, and crouching.



Compensation

Compensation is commensurate with knowledge, skills, and experience. The general compensation range for the Sales Operations Manager role is $80,000 to $120,000 per year.
