The YMCA is looking for fun, hard working, individuals looking to make an impact in our community.

This position will assist in providing before and after school care in elementary schools in the Portland Public School District.

We are currently hiring Teacher's Aides for many of our programs throughout the district, including schools in N, NE, and SE Portland.

Job Responsibilities:
A Teacher's Aide will work in the program under the guidance and instruction of teachers.

Responsibilities include assisting lead staff in maintaining a safe and developmentally appropriate classroom environment, implementing a fun and engaging curriculum, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and the school community.


Required Qualifications:
Pass a YMCA Background Check

Current enrollment in the Oregon State Childcare Registry or ability to enroll prior to employment.

Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Current Food Handlers certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

At least 15 years of age
