As a Public Affairs Specialist, GS , you will be responsible for:


Exercises knowledge of the Department's major initiatives to manage media inquiries and develop and disseminate social media content, press releases and speeches.

Establishes and maintains professional relationships with media and government officials, advises Department officials and developsplans to engage stakeholders on issues of national significance.

Participates in the development and execution of comprehensive public information campaigns that integrate press, social, and digital media develops communications and strategies for hard-to-reach audiences to deepen their understanding.

Analyzes trends in communication strategies and education, employs knowledge and makes recommendations for innovative techniques to overcome communication challenges.
