Job Summary

The Materials & Logistics Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the flow of materials inbound, outbound, through various modes of transportation to the customer through final payment. This role will also look for ways to streamline the process utilizing existing systems to maximize efficiencies and minimize costs.

How You Can Be the Impact

  • Gather and organize transportation data for trends, spend, utilization and cost improvement recommendations including customer shipments, purchase requisitions, relabeling, repackaging, and site trailer leases.
  • Analyze, design, and implement system and process improvements by interaction with internal users, suppliers, and customers.
  • Suggest and implement improvements that simplify process complexity and free working capital.
  • Responsible for executing and supporting the cycle counting process at the Mt. Vernon site for specific units.
  • Provide transactional and logistical support for customer shipments. This includes SAP transactions, coordination of scheduling and supporting documentation with customers and addressing issues in shipment process.
  • Responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy at all stages of the process (shipping, receiving, and production).

What Matters to SABIC

  • BS degree in Industrial Management, Business, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing operations experience.
  • Familiarity with marine, trucking and rail car fleets is preferred.
  • Prior SAP experience preferred and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to use analytical tools and data to solve business problems.
