Pediatric Hospitalist

Piedmont Columbus Regional is seeking a BE/BC Pediatrician to join an experienced inpatient team. The successful candidate will be employed by Columbus Regional Medical Group (a multi-specialty group practice of 80+ doctors). This physician will join an experienced group consisting of two Pediatricians, and two Nurse Practitioners. In addition, a Pediatric Neurologist and Pediatric Endocrinologist are also employed.
The ideal candidate will be energetic and willing to teach while continuing to learn. This practice provides a large patient base with a wide range of pathology and the administrative infrastructure necessary to support a new physician. An interest in adolescent medicine and developmental pediatrics is preferred but not required. We offer competitive benefits and opportunity for earnings at the 75th percentile.
Who Are We?
Piedmont Columbus Regional is part of Piedmont Healthcare's integrated system of 22 hospitals. Their Columbus system comprises two hospitals and a cancer center, serving a radius of more than 14 counties.
The Midtown Campus is a 583-bed hospital and functions as a Level 2 Trauma Center with the region s only Children s Hospital including a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Neuroscience Center of Excellence, a newly renovated Emergency and Trauma Center as well as the SI and XI da Vinci Robot with plans for more. We also have the oldest Family Medicine Residency Program in the state as well as a robust Hospitalist program.
The Children s Hospital at Piedmont Columbus Regional s Midtown Campus offers the region s only dedicated pediatrics hospitalist program and Pediatrics ED. It features a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, state-of-the-art equipment, private and semi-private patient rooms, and a Child Life Center. As one of six regional perinatal centers in Georgia, The Children s Hospital serves multiple counties in Georgia and Alabama. The upcoming Bill and Olivia Amos Children s Hospital, set to open in Fall 2024, will provide increased dedicated pediatric clinical space and enhance healthcare for pediatric patients in the region.
The Northside Campus is a 100-bed general acute care hospital, nationally recognized for delivering outstanding clinical quality with the highest levels of customer service. It recently opened a 12,000 square foot Emergency Department with plans for expansion. The new ED at the Northside Campus is staffed by board-certified ER physicians 24/7 and is establishing other physician-led programs. Upon completion, the Northside Campus is positioned well in the market to meet the healthcare needs of north Columbus and Harris County for generations to come.
The John B. Amos Cancer Center is the only oncology center in the area offering a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary program accredited by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. This state-of-the-art facility employs several hematology oncologists, radiation oncologists, breast surgeons, a thoracic surgeon, a GYN Oncologist, and additional support staff.
