About The Role:
The transportation industry has no shortage of complex problems requiring creative solutions to scale efficiently. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our clients by architecting tailored solutions that address their unique needs and challenges.
You will collaborate closely with clients to understand their business objectives and technical requirements, translating these insights into innovative and scalable solutions that drive value and foster long-term partnerships. With your expertise in both technology and business, you will serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the technical solution design process and ensuring alignment with our product offerings and roadmap priorities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to blend strategic thinking with hands-on problem-solving, empowering you to make a tangible impact on the success of our clients and the growth of our organization.
Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate an extensive grasp of Mastery's proprietary platform integration capabilities, encompassing API, EDI, and integration with third-party systems.
  • Assess Client's technical requirements and capabilities throughout the engagement to provide sound recommendations on technical solution to ensure success.
  • Become fluent in transitioning between strategic, big-picture thinking and managing relevant operational detail.
  • Establish engagement objectives and scope, formulate work plans, and facilitate coordination among various project workstreams.
  • Lead solution proof-of-concept sessions with clients to educate on best practices, identify gaps, and recommend process changes and/or solution refinement approaches
  • Collaborate closely with sales, product management, engineering, and support teams to ensure alignment and coherence in solution design and delivery.
  • Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial discovery meetings to solution implementation and deployment.
  • Provide expert guidance and recommendations on how the company's products or services can meet the client's needs and address their challenges.
  • Design innovative and effective solutions that leverage the company's products or services to address client requirements.
  • Develop solution architectures, including system diagrams, workflows, and technical specifications, to communicate proposed solutions to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Deliver compelling and informative presentations and demonstrations to clients, showcasing the features, functionality, and benefits of the proposed solutions.
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts and value propositions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Contribute to the organization's knowledge base by documenting best practices, technical solutions, and common issues, facilitating efficient problem-solving and knowledge sharing across teams.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of expertise in the Transportation and Supply Chain field, including experience working with transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Intermediary or expert level understanding of modern software engineering principles and best practices
  • Intermediary or expert level experience using specific technologies such as JSON, REST, OAUTH 2.0, event-driven architecture, Kafka, GraphQL, SQL, Docker, Azure, Postman/Insomnia
  • Knowledgeable about all phases of the software development life cycle and solution delivery for web, client server, and cloud-based systems
  • Experience working directly with customers and stakeholders to understand and develop requirements and formulate solutions
  • Intermediate level understanding of enterprise architecture and how various systems interact and integrate with each other
  • Experienced designing and recommending solutions that leverage EDI and API integration technologies
  • Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations for user, client, and executive level audiences

Mastery Logistics Systems is building the world's first lovable Transportation Management System, or TMS.
Our customers - large transportation companies and shippers who need those companies - have struggled with systems that are outdated or inadequate. As shippers or transportation service providers, our customers have in the past been forced to use multiple systems to manage dedicated fleet operations, outsourced or insourced trans management, one way trucking, truckload brokerage, LTL, and Intermodal, or to sub-optimize one or more of those functions by attempting to fit it into a TMS that is adequate at another function.
