Lunalilo Home and Adult Day Center offers various opportunities for individuals looking to utilize their expertise and experience to care for kupuna (elders) and make a positive impact in the lives of others through providing high-quality and compassionate assistance.
We are currently seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for a full-time position with flexibility in scheduling for day, evening, and night shifts. The role involves assisting the Nursing Department in overseeing the health status, daily activities, and general care of kupuna. The ability to work a flexible schedule is highly desirable.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with kupuna admissions, transfers, and discharges while accurately recording vital signs.
- Support kupuna during mealtimes, provide pre and post-meal care, facilitate transportation to and from dining areas, and assist residents with their personal belongings.
- Help kupuna with daily living activities including bathing, toileting, and dressing.
- Ensure a safe and hygienic environment for kupuna, including changing bed linens as required.
- Conduct specialized therapy and engage kupuna in range of motion exercises and activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold a valid Hawaii CNA state certificate.
- Possess a High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Maintain current certifications in TB, First Aid, CPR, and BLS.
- Previous experience and/or training (minimum 6 months) in geriatric or long-term care settings is preferable.
