Part-Time CTE College Credit Program Assistant - FY 2025

Job Description

The Part-Time CTE College Credit Program Assistant will assist the CTE College Credit Office in student outreach, promotion and marketing efforts, and program support services; to help meet the goals and objectives of the program.

CTE College Credit is a statewide program that grants free college credit for approved high school Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. The college credit awarded is designed to give students a head start on their pathway toward completing requirements within an industry certification, CSN certificate of achievement, or CSN associate degree.

The CTE College Credit Office promotes a collegial and professional atmosphere. The Special Projects Assistant will serve a diverse student population within our local school district. They will have a student-centered ethic; understand the value of higher education; and be a team player and enthusiastic.

Primary Duties include:
  • Assist in evaluating student records and program eligibility
  • On occasion, travel to local area high schools to deliver program materials
  • Assist in event planning, outreach, and recruitment efforts through events such as teacher professional development days, college and career fairs, application days, and open houses
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, scanning, updating documents, and document preparation
  • Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
  • Other related tasks as assigned
The CTE College Credit Office is located at the CSN West Charleston Campus. Mileage reimbursement will be provided for local work-related travel based on the approved federal mileage rate and guidelines.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, a personal vehicle, and automobile insurance
  • Excellent basic computer skills (e.g. email, MS Word, MS Excel, etc)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge and experience using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Fluent Spanish speaker
Salary Information

$14.00 per hour

Tentative Schedule:

19 hours per week, flexible schedule between the hours of 8-5, Monday-Friday
