The Clurman lab ; TST and Human Biology Divisions) works at the intersection of two fields: cell cycle control and the ubiquitin system. While our work focuses on both tumorigenesis and fundamental regulatory mechanisms in normal biology. Our overall goal is to apply new mechanistic insights to understand cancer development and develop new therapeutic strategies. Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to study the ubiquitin pathway in various aspects cell division and tumorigenesis. This work will focus on tumor suppression by the Fbw7 ubiquitin ligase, which targets a network of oncoproteins for degradation, including Myc, Notch, and cyclin E. This work will encompass a broad array of approaches, including cell and molecular biology, gene targeting in mice and human cells, and large-scale genomics and proteomics. We value lab members who are highly collaborative but can also independently develop and guide research projects. Qualifications
- PhD, M.D., or M.D., Ph. D (or equivalent degree) in cell and molecular biology, cancer biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
- Broad expertise in cell and molecular biology methods and the ability to master new techniques and approaches.
- Experience with genetically engineered mouse models of cancer is highly preferred.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Record of productive and rigorous research, including at least one primary publication in a peer-reviewed journal.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $67,728 to $100,000 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
