Summary
Compiles and maintains verified accounts payable records. Reconciles statements and issues payment to vendors. Compiles and maintains accounting records by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties
Checks all invoices and obtains appropriate payment approval.
Prepares accounts payable checks.
Posts all open items in accounts payable on a daily basis.
Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
Reconciles statement and the ledger making sure that payments are consistent with dealership schedules.
Reconciles petty cash and cash clearing accounts.
Communicates cash requirements for payable dates to the manager.
Answers all vendor inquiries.
Assists with monthly closings.
Assists with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary.
Receipts all monies received from vehicle sales.
Prepares cash deposits.
Updates customers' account information.
Enters finalized cash receipts and updates accounts receivable by customer.
Performs background checks on credit applications. Obtains approvals for current charges.
Processes daily credit card deposits.
Researches and processes charge backs, returns, and bad checks.
Answers accounts receivable phone calls and follows up on inquiries
Fills in for other administrative positions as needed and directed by management.
Maintains professional appearance and neat work area.
Other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities and Qualifications

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be punctual, dependable and reliable.
Must have strong computer aptitude, specifically with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Must have the ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
