Job Summary and Qualifications

What You Will Do In This Role:

You will perform treatment under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist for patients that are acutely ill or have medical needs, which result in mobility and activities of daily living deficits.

You will monitor and document every therapy encounter, identify any adverse responses/follow-ups, report tolerance and progress of therapy interventions in medical record.

You will be responsible for performing patient screenings and deliver to supervising occupational therapist for determination of screen recommendations and for securing the necessary supplies for treatment.

You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Rehab team.

You will have accountability for delivering quality services and for promoting a positive image of the department.

What qualifications you will need:

Associate Degree from a Physical Therapy Assistant program is required.

Physical Therapy Assistant License issued by the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners is required.

1 year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant: Acute, Inpatient Rehab, or Outpatient setting is preferred.

Current BLS certification is required.
