This Pulmonaryposition is open for an advanced practice provider (NP or PA) with interest inproviding care to ambulatory pulmonary practice. As the pulmonary servicecontinues to grow, there is greater need to help provide adequate access topulmonary visits in the ambulatory setting. In addition, increased access forpost-hospitalization patients being treated for acute pulmonary conditions isneeded for adequately assessing condition and preventionre-hospitalization.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

· Ability tosolve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situationswhere only limited standardization may exist.

· Ability tointerpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, orschedule form.

· Must be ableto reasonably make appropriate judgment in communications and actions withpatients, physicians, other associates, outside agencies, and vendors.

· Ability towork independently and take initiative.

· Goodinterpersonal and organizational skills.

· Understandwhen to seek appropriate medical guidance from a supervising physician.

Education: Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantprogram; Bachelor's Degree required.


Experience (Type & Length): 2years of pulmonary medicine is preferred by not required.


Certification/Licensure: NP or PA Massachusetts licensure is required.


Software/Hardware: Fluency inusing electronic medical record systems
