Jimmie Austin Golf Club at the University of Oklahoma has internship positions (2) available for 2024/2025. This opportunity will provide the candidate with hands-on experience in all aspects of golf course management at one of the premier collegiate golf clubs in the country. In this positon, you will also gain experience with preparation for daily membership play and golf events as well as several other highly anticipated golf events throughout the year. Jimmie Austin will host a NCAA Women's Golf Regional May 5 th through 7 th , 2025.

The internship will provide the opportunity to learn bentgrass management in the transition zone, including moisture management, fertility and other management practices. During the internship, the candidate will have the opportunity to be mentored by our Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents who possess years of experience in the turf and golf business.

This opportunity will allow candidates to develop a solid foundation for a career in the golf course industry along with unique hands-on-experience with professional tournament preparation, construction and the knowledge of what it takes to be successful in the industry.

The candidate must be pursuing an Associates or Bachelor's degree in Turfgrass Management or related field. Previous golf course experience is preferred but not required.
