What Will Be Your Environment:

The Franklin, WI location is about 15 miles south of Milwaukee, and has about 250 employees. As part of the Advanced Materials division, this site manufactures medical devices such as silicone tubes used in surgeries. Many of our team members operate in a cleanroom environment to maintain safety regulations of these products.

What You'll Do:

The Commercial Machine Process Technician is primarily responsible to set-up, troubleshoot and maintain commercial equipment to meet or exceed manufacturing expectations and requirements.

What We're Looking For:

  • Perform commercial molding machine set-ups from mold installation thru producing an acceptable product
  • Primary contact for troubleshooting of commercial molding process/equipment problems, analyze problems / solutions
  • Support the manufacturing of molding jobs thru material changes and equipment maintenance, ie; filters, mixers, etc.
  • Perform daily production and routine maintenance of mold cleanings, plastic media blast and/or solvent cleaning verify mold condition when job is complete
  • Other duties such as verify line clearance, run acceptable first shots, mold test slabs and pucks, signoffs on Routers and Post Cure Verifications.
  • Maintain Safety, Quality, Productivity, scrap, rework, utilization, and efficiency
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills That Make a Difference:

  • Successful completion of four-years of high school, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of two years of college or graduation from a two-year technical college with an associate's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Pneumatics Technology, is a plus
  • Experience performing mechanical, electrical, electronics, hydraulics or pneumatic systems repair is a requirement
  • Five or more years of experience operating injection molding machinery, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Medical Device manufacturing and clean room environment experience is desired
  • 6 axis robot programming is a plus

Physical Demands:

This physical demand level for this job is considered medium with frequently lifting 10-25 pounds. Exposure to lifting more than 50 pounds is rare (if ever).
