The Department of Animal Resources takes pride in providing optimal animal care for all animals housed at the University for the purposes of biomedical research and teaching.Job Summary: The Department of Animal Resources (DAR) has one (1) position open for a Resident Veterinarian in Laboratory Animal Medicine (LAM) starting July 4.The program is designed to prepare veterinarians for a career in LAM. The residency is approved by the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ACLAM) and fulfills eligibility requirements for the ACLAM certifying examination.The resident will rotate within DAR services and gain experience in the medical, surgical, anesthetic, and colony management of a variety of laboratory animal models used at USC. Residents will have the opportunity to spend time with our sister program at The City of Hope and The Beckman Research Institute.Residents will also participate in the activities of both USC and City of Hope IACUC.
